Rady Children's Hospital San Diego Triage Resource RN - Nurse Triage Answering Service in San Diego, California

JOB SUMMARY:

The Triage Resource RN functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice and is responsible for the independent application of the nursing process while providing patient care. This includes, but is not limited to patient and family education, using department protocols and procedures to perform phone triage, education and advice to patients and families, and the utilization of standing orders for prescription refills. Participates in Quality Improvement projects and processes within the scope of practice. Performs other duties as assigned from time to time as required, to improve outcomes, service, safety, and care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's Degree

3 Years of Experience

California RN License

CPN or other pediatric certification

Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

5 Years of Experience

The current salary range for this position is $49.81 to $79.90

A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
