Overview
We are currently seeking a System Administrator to support
Joint Mission Integration and Experimentation (JMIE).* *
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Job Duties:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in System Administration (Intermediate - Advanced), implementation of Windows and UNIX/Linux installation, configuration, and maintenance, in accordance with appropriate DoD policies and processes.
- Demonstrated basic network engineer knowledge and experience; to include network infrastructure design, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Assists with troubleshooting Windows and UNIX/Linux Platform technical issues, administrative issues, and bug fixes. Execute patch management, including installation of appropriate security reinforcement measures and updates.
- Advise on design and implementation of a software and network infrastructure software development environment that deploys physical and virtual machines.
- Independently provides support with implementation requirements of the Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Certification and Accreditation (CandA) processes (e.g. STIGs, SCAPs).
- Creates Risk Management Framework (RMF) submissions for new systems and updates for pre-existing systems. Collects and reviews related information security artifacts (i.e. network and system diagrams, Approval To Operate (ATO) documentation, Approval To Connect (ATC) documentation, certifications, test results, and configuration documentation) for CandA review.
- Administer and manage IA Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), and security Plan of Action and Milestones (POAandM) mitigations through timely assessment of IAVA notices and POAandM corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain security related documentation.
- Preferred - interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Preferred - Familiarization with cloud development environment such as Amazon Web Service.
Equipment Used:Laptop Computer and peripheral equipment
Typical Working Conditions:
- General office environment with USG provided NMCI Computer and peripheral equipment
- TEA Corporate laptop will be provided at the discretion of Executive Management
Essential Physical Tasks:
- Ability to lift 10 lbs. on an occasional basis.
- Possibility of Domestic travel up to 10% of the time by automobile, air, etc.
- Ability to use a personal computer, keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis.
Written Communications:
- Operates standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively with a high degree of competency.
- Independently generates documentation that presents information in a logical manner.
Verbal Communications:
- Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.
- Active communicator - giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:
- Six (6) years of relivant experience
- Require DoD approved IAT Level II Baseline Certification
Customer Interface Activities:
- Uses independent discretion to develop an effective client to customer communication process involving stakeholder identification, planned communication, efficient information distribution, and managing expectations.
Work Schedule:
- 9/80
- Able to efficiently adapt to new priorities. This includes effectively multitasking project responsibilities with an awareness to support changes as needed.
- The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- High School Diploman or Equivilant (with six years of experience)
- Desired Bachelors Degree in technical field (e.g. Information Syste s, Information Technology, Computer Science, EE)
Certifications:
- IAT Level II
- CompTIA Security +
Pay Range:$95,000.00 to $120,000.00 annually, DOE.
