Job Functions

  • Support and follow up on missing supplies, repair status (exhaustive LOB available), technical issues, and shipments for a repair shop

  • You will need to have a history of customer facing interactions to interact effectively with a variety of contacts within the supplier manufacturing process and OEM Program Office

  • You will need to have a familiarity with manufacturing processes to understand and pinpoint the potential issues that will require mitigation closure

  • Drive delivery (including overdue reduction and buffer compliance) and quality improvement at each supplier by using diagnostic tools such as: Supplier Health Assessment (SHA), Supplier Readiness Assessment (SRA), Supplier Surveillance, Zero Defect Plan (ZDP), and other Collins ACE/CORE tools as needed

  • Work with suppliers to create actions that will address gaps identified from utilization of the above tools

  • Monitor supplier performance and apply countermeasures to manage supplier Sustainable Improvement Plan (SIP)

  • Provide leadership to drive supplier Gold / Performance + with suppliers

  • Communicate supplier strategic plans and actions to address missed targets to Regional Manager, and to the Regional Leader as needed

  • Eliminate any risks that will prevent suppliers from meeting performance targets, and escalate as needed

  • Drive cross functional and BU engagement to remove roadblocks necessary to improve supplier performance

  • Prepare supplier executive summaries and present at SBU critical supplier reviews

  • Participate in or lead process improvement projects to streamline Regional Supplier Performance Operations

  • Identify supplier system capabilities and improvement opportunities as well as cost drivers

  • You will need to be able to influence without authority to drive quality and speed to meet commitment dates

  • Work closely with Quest Global and customer personnel to understand pain points and high visibility issues

  • You will need to have written and verbal communication skills to disseminate information and provide status

  • You will need to have proficient computer skills and data entry capability, and the ability to navigate in customer platforms to provide critical accurate information

  • You will need to be willing to travel to various manufacturing facilities on a frequent basis in order to perform your job

Qualifications

We’re excited to talk to you if:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience. In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering/Supply Chain/Manufacturing or related area with a continued proven track record of performance achievement, and growth with increased level of responsibility in an operations environment

  • You see yourself as a self-motivated, disciplined, and organized individual driven by a passion to provide solutions

  • You can effectively manage production schedules with use of delivery estimation, risk analysis and crisis mitigation

  • You are familiar with LEAN methodologies and tools

  • You have experience with quality systems and/or industry standards compliance

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.

  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.

  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.

  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.

  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM

  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
