Description

We are excited to bring on board a meticulous Staff Accountant to our team in the Real Estate & Property industry located in San Diego, California. The role primarily involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and performing other accounting duties. As a Staff Accountant, you will be working in a dynamic team environment where your skills in General Ledger, Property Accounting, Month End Close, and Yardi will be highly valuable.

Responsibilities:

• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to investors and lenders

• Perform monthly and year-end closing procedures

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

• Develop monthly account reconciliations and roll forward schedules

• Draft journal entries

• Prepare audit work papers and provide supporting documents

• Prepare monthly debt service for processing

• Select invoices for payment

• Assist in budget preparation

• Aid in processing of distributions

• Undertake other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position within the Real Estate & Property industry.

• Proficiency in handling tasks related to the General Ledger is required.

• Experience in Property Accounting is a plus, but not required.

• Candidate must have the ability to manage Month End Close processes effectively.

• Proficiency in using Yardi software is a plus.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
