BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Software Engineer. The qualified candidate will work in a rapid development environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team developing C# services and client applications. Tasks may include coding, debugging, and integrating software, as well as the integration, regression, and requirement testing of complex SW systems. This position may require business travel in support of product demonstrations, software installation, and system testing.

The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work with platforms and mission applications for intelligence and defense customers with domain emphasis on Geospatial Intelligence, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR), and Mission Management.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 4 year(s) related experience

  • US Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance and ability to be granted a Top Secret/SCI security clearance by the Federal Government

  • Familiarity or willing to learn the C# programming language

  • Understanding and skills in software design and code

  • Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with C# programming language

  • Operating Systems (Windows and RHEL)

  • SAFe Agile development methodology

  • Software Architectures (e.g., REST Web Services, MVVM)

  • C programming language

  • Scripting and other languages (e.g., PowerShell, JSON, XML, Python)

  • PostgreSQL database development tools and design

  • Development tools and services (e.g., Visual Studio)

  • Configuration Management tools (e.g., Azure, Git)

  • Automated test experience

  • Ansible experience

  • Software Installation Development (InstallShield)

  • Application modeling with MBSE (Magic Draw, Cameo)

  • DevSecOps experience

  • Entity Framework knowledge

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
