ManTech Senior Network Engineer in San Diego, California
Description & Requirements
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Network Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Network Engineering - Troubleshooting\Tier II\Tier III support
Network Monitoring - SolarWinds\Cisco PI
Network Documentation - Visio Drawings\Develop SOPs
Diagnosing and resolving the toughest performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the platforms listed above
Writing SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) to accomplish repetitive tasks
Participating in processes throughout all phases of ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests
Responsibility for investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
Other tasks to include requirements specification, performance modeling, end-to-end functional analysis, cost estimation, and joint application design
Working on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer's production IT environment
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 4 years of Networking experience might be substituted for a degree
Experience writing reports with accurate grammar and writing style
Cisco CCNA level knowledge
Microsoft Visio\Word\Excel experience
DoD 8570.1 / DoD 8140.01 (IAT III Level) certification within 6 months of hire
DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
Experience using and administering SolarWinds
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, VMware products
Travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications :
One of the following certifications is desired:MCSE - Microsoft Certified System Engineer, MCSE - Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, MCSA - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, MCITP - Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional, VMware VCP - VMware Certified Professional, CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Administrator
ITIL Foundations or later certification highly desired
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience using a Service Desk ticketing system, such as Remedy or ServiceNow
Previous customer service experience strongly desired
General Dynamics Encryptor experience
SolarWinds experience\knowledge
Cisco Prime Infrastructure experience\knowledge
Microsoft Systems experience a plus
Security Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship required and active TS/SCI clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years.
Candidate must be open to random poly.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $109,100.00-$181,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
