SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Information Technology will be responsible for the successful performance of all IT operations on the property and for adhering to Corporate IT Standards and Policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to:
Develop and lead the property IT Department to provide around-the-clock technology support successfully
Ensure efficient processes and procedures to effectively handle property-level requests for support and follow approved Montage Hotels and Resorts procedures for escalating and coordinating with corporate IT and vendors
Provision and resolve technology problems as requested or reported
Implement, maintain, backup, and administer all installed technology to meet vendor requirements, industry-standard practices, the requirements of the property, and policies and procedures as developed by corporate IT
Implement and adhere to all routine security and compliance requirements and documentation as required or assigned
Administer, maintain, and provide network-level support for Hotels, Food and beverage outlets, meeting events, and other venues.
Troubleshoot network issues and collaborate with team members to resolve complex problems. In-depth knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
Knowledge of network virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN).
Knowledge of Telecom and Wi-Fi systems
Perform fault isolation, problem determination, and problem resolution of standard set network and server problems to ensure proper integration of software and hardware components
Recommend appropriate action where performance is below objective or where capacity may be nearing its threshold
Install and maintain workstations and determine appropriate installation and/or upgrade schedule
Maintain complete and thorough knowledge of new releases of network-relevant hospitality systems software
Document disaster recovery procedures and perform production turnover procedures with all applications and systems
Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of process server and related network functions
Create and implement an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses the needs and expectations of the department
Creating, monitoring, and managing an IT budget to ensure that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support the organization's technology needs while also controlling costs.
Completing regulatory and internal technology reviews and audits to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies. Identifying and addressing any potential weaknesses or vulnerabilities in the organization's IT infrastructure
IT asset management, including overseeing hardware and software inventory processes. Ensure accurate tracking, maintenance, and optimization of IT assets throughout their lifecycle to support organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Five plus years’ experience in IT
Two years’ experience at a hotel/resort preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Hotel Technology Applications knowledge, PMS, POS, GRMS, Revenue Management Tools, Sales and Marketing, CRS, Payment systems, Budgeting, and forecasting tools. etc.
Extensive knowledge and familiarity with PCI, PII and GDPR
Microsoft desktop and server OS (Windows 10,11, Server 2012 and above, Mac OS)
VMware and ESXI support and deployment
Must be able to multitask with ease
Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer
Must possess advanced computational ability and computer skills
PREFERRED
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
Customer service background preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on a regular basis. It requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity to fulfill tasks. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment.
The pay scale* for Senior IT Manager is $90k - $100k. *The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
