NBC Universal San Diego Station (NBC 7 and Telemundo 20) Production Internship - Fall 2024 in San Diego, California

NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 San Diego internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry.  Internships at NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 are paid and do not require course credit.

Responsibilities:

As a Production Intern for our station, you will …

  • Learn about industry-specific technologies used to create live newscasts.

  • Shadow APC Operators during pre-production and execution of newscasts.

  • Receive hands-on training with Automated Production Control technology.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be familiar with Windows OS and PC environments.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications.

  • Must have basic knowledge of TV studio operations.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • In pursuit of an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degree at an accredited institution. Must be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.

  • Current class standing of junior or above

The ability to work in-person at the San Diego station

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

The pay rate for this position is $16.85 per hour.
