Insight Global Quality Control Manager in San Diego, California
Job Description
A leading Fire, HVAC, and Security company is looking for a Quality Control Manager to help support the Robert J. Donovan Correctional Facilitys fire systems upgrade project. Candidates must be willing to be on-site within a Correctional Facility. You will have a specific Correctional Officer assigned to you to help guide you throughout the facility. The ideal candidate for the Quality Control Manager position will have a commercial construction background from project inception to completion and will be crucial to all stages of the project.
Act as the lead Quality Control manager on the project, overseeing installers, technicians, and other professionals from subcontractors
Work closely with inspector of record, fire marshal, and on-site safety support team
Run quality meetings and attend other project related meetings as needed
Engage with field team and supervise installers, providing corrective action where needed
Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors
Follow existing, pre-approved quality control plan and report into the Superintendent / Senior Project Manager

Skills and Requirements
CQM Certification highly preferred
5+ years of experience in QC/QA
3 years minimum experience working in construction as a QCM
Adaptable and willing to be hands-on to support the timely completion of the project
Basic excel skills Experience working inside a secured perimeter
Fire alarm expertise / prior experience on large-scale retrofit projects
Bachelors degree in a technical, business, or equivalent field null
