Range 23 ($5,448.21- $6,814.00) per month based on the 2024 Classified salary schedule. New employees will begin on Step F ($5,448.21). Step placement is non-negotiable. Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA . This position is FLSA Non-exempt (may accrue overtime). Excellent Benefits are provided to all Contract employees with assignments greater than, or equal to, 50% (0.50 FTE ) and all eligible dependents. A temporary probationary period will apply to the employee entering this assignment. The Position

Applications are currently being accepted for Program Support Technician in the Affinity Programs Department, located at the Mid-City and Cesar Chavez campuses. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department’s needs.

Desired Qualifications

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Support Technician to join our team. The focus of this role is to support our affinity programs at SDCCE . This position is crucial for the efficient management and improvement of our affinity programs, including the Black Student Success Program, Immigrant Support Program, and LGBTQIA Program, as well as providing support for campus-wide cultural events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Affinity Program Support: Coordinate events, provide guidance, and ensure the smooth functioning of affinity programs. Promote inclusivity and diversity across the campus community.

  • Cultural Event Coordination: Support various cultural events on campus, working closely with departments to ensure successful planning and execution.

  • eSAR Coordination: Manage eSAR scheduling requests for affinity program adjuncts and counselor coordinators, improving operational efficiency and facilitating better communication within departments.

  • Hybrid Program Execution: Support the conversion of existing in-person programs to hybrid formats, working closely with Affinity Program counselor coordinators to achieve this goal.

The ideal candidate will have a central role in supporting all affinity programs, providing administrative and programmatic assistance, and contributing to the operations of the multicultural center and immigrant support center.

Conditions of Employment:

SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT :

  • Submit “official” college transcripts as stated on application (even if a degree is not a requirement for this position);

  • Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial appointment (Note: The certificate must be renewed every 4 years as a condition of continuing employment);

  • Have fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer at the district’s expense (Clearance must be received prior to first day of employment);

  • Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States; AND

  • Attend a new hire processing appointment in Human Resources located at the District Administrative Offices.
