We are partnering with a dedicated non-profit organization in search of an experienced Non-Profit Bookkeeper. This role is crucial for managing the financial aspects of the organization, including grant management, budgeting, and expense tracking. The position is contract or contract-to-hire, providing a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain financial records for grants, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and accurate reporting of expenses.

• Prepare and monitor budgets for various projects and programs, providing insights to support financial decision-making.

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management, highlighting key financial metrics and variances.

• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and funding applications by providing financial data and budget projections.

• Collaborate with program managers to ensure proper allocation and tracking of grant funds.

• Support annual audits by preparing necessary documentation and financial reports.

  Requirements

Previous experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a non-profit setting (required).

Strong knowledge of grant management, budgeting, and expense tracking.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
