Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to come in and join the team. Must have great verbal communication skills and computer skills.

2nd Shift - 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Onsite 100%

location: SAN DIEGO, California

salary: $20 - 21 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety protocols and practices, including Production Ground Rules (PGR)

  • Report any safety incidents immediately

  • Perform various assigned manufacturing tasks to produce high-quality products under general supervision

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area at all times (6S methodology)

  • Comply with the Illumina Quality System, manufacturing, regulatory, and safety requirements (FDA, MDSAP, ISO Standards, OSHA, etc.)

  • Read and follow Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GDP, and cGMP

  • Conduct product quality control procedures, including inspection, data collection, and escalation of defects

  • Perform line clearance to prevent cross contamination and ensure product integrity

  • Utilize Microsoft operating systems and computer applications

  • Process work orders to complete products into inventory using SAP

  • Operate various liquid-handling automated systems and tooling apparatuses

  • Perform labeling, kitting, and other packaging functions

  • Record production data on controlled forms, following GDP guidelines

  • Verify production equipment, ensuring proper status, calibration, and maintenance

  • Report production issues, such as nonconformances, work order discrepancies, or equipment malfunctions

  • Communicate suggestions for improvements to enhance product quality, productivity, and workplace safety

  • Handle the mixing, storing, and disposal of chemical solutions, including hazardous materials

  • Experience level: Entry Level

  • Minimum 1 year of experience

  • Education: High School
