-Will perform duties as an AEGIS Computer Network Technician (ACNT) providing Computer and Display Systems maintenance support aboard AEGIS Destroyers and AEGIS Cruisers as a Team Member on the AEGIS Modernization Team (AMT) - West based in San Diego, CA. Selected applicant will directly work with Government, Ship Repair, Various Contractor Organizations, and ships company to provide effective and timely reconciliation of hardware, software, and network challenges and provide training to ships force on the operation and maintenance of new baseline Aegis equipment.

*Position requires shift work, brief at-sea periods and periodic travel supporting assessments, fleet emergent requirements and equipment installation events and issues.

*Will require working flex hours, overtime and on occasion weekends and holidays. Travel may be temporary or extended duty travel to Moorestown NJ, Bath ME, Pascagoula MS, Norfolk VA, Mayport FL, Pearl Harbor, Everett WA, and Yokosuka Japan.

US Citizenship is required. Candidate must have a final DOD Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time.

• UNIX-based open architecture experience and its application to the U.S. NAVY Aegis Computing Infrastructure (ACI).

• Experience with testing of fiber optics cables.

• Working knowledge of Ethernet LAN technology.

• Thorough understanding of US Navy preventive and corrective maintenance and proficiency in reading technical documents.

• Familiarity with hardware, software, network test equipment used to evaluate and correct operational failures (i.e. fiber optic testers, multimeter's, o-scopes).

• Experience in AEGIS Combat Systems as an AEGIS Computer / Display / ACNT technician with a thorough understanding of Baseline 6.3, 7.1, 7.1R, ACB08, and/or BL9; and/or applicable training in other military services

• This position requires work on Naval Vessels, both in-port and underway. Employee will be expected to work in confined spaces and climb ladders and steep stairs.

• US Citizenship is required. Candidate must have a final DOD Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.

Desired Skills:

• Material Logistics / Kitting experience for customer deliveries.

• Knowledge of, or experience in, other functional equipment areas of the Aegis Weapon System to include UYQ-70 Display equipment, ORTS MK 9 Mod 1 or DTS-1, LAN architecture, routers, CEC, BFTT, COTS-based processing systems used onboard AEGIS Ships or other military UNIX/LINUX based equipment.

• Ability to conduct fiber optic light loss measurements and troubleshoot fiber using approved Navy test equipment and procedures. Experience with building and testing fiber optics termini.

• Ability to understand LINUX/UNIX based program commands and local area network (LAN) theory.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $60,800 - $116,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $69,900 - $126,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
