Intuit Director, SOX IT Compliance in San Diego, California

Overview

As the Director of SOX IT Compliance, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of IT compliance with a specific focus on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our IT systems and processes are in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices. This position requires a deep understanding of SOX IT requirements, as well as experience working with Accounting/Financial reporting leaders and Big 4 firms.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT compliance, with a specific focus on SOX IT general computing controls and IT automated control requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of SOX regulations and their application to IT systems and processes in maintaining an effective environment that supports ICOFR.

  • Previous experience working with Big 4 firms, in an audit capacity understanding SEC and PCAOB requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing IT compliance

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC are highly desirable

ntuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range Bay Area California $234,000 - $316,500 and San Diego California $232,500 - $314,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits) (https://www.intuit.com/careers/benefits/full-time-employees/) . Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. How you will lead

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive SOX IT compliance program, including policies, procedures, and controls, to ensure adherence to regulatory

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and identify potential risks and control gaps within IT systems and processes that support internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR).

  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and identify areas for improvement.

  • Guide and monitor the remediation of ineffective

  • Provide guidance and support to technical teams in implementing and maintaining effective controls and processes.

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to SOX IT compliance.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors during SOX IT compliance audits.

  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and stakeholders on the status of IT compliance initiatives,ICOFR and any identified issues or risks.

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT compliance professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
