This is a Casual/Per-diem day position with variable days. This position does not require weekends or holidays. Must be flexible to float to various locations.

We invite you to join our highly dynamic team as a Diabetes Educator II. This position helps cover ambulatory and inpatient diabetes education needs throughout our Scripps Health organization across San Diego county.

As a Diabetes Educator II, you will provide diabetes-specific clinical, educational, and/or research services in a variety of settings. Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, community, and/or research programs.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• A minimum of two years providing diabetes education as an RN or RD required.

Required Certification/Registration:

• Current BLS
• Certified Diabetes Educator certification (CDCES) required.
• Licensed to practice in the State of California as an RN or Registered Dietitian credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• For RNs, a bachelors Degree in Nursing is preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
