Description

Robert Half is partnered with a large non-profit organization, who provides critical services to the San Diego community. We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Budget Analyst in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, located in San Diego, California. The role will primarily involve supporting the budget manager and working with client services databases for the a healthcare service.

This is a contract-to-hire, on-site, analyst position beginning immediately. This role will allow for plenty of cross-training. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in a data analyst, financial analyst, accounting, or budgeting capacity.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the budget manager in budgeting processes related to services provided by different clinics

• Utilizing advanced Excel skills for data analysis, including logical formulas, x-lookups, v-lookup

• Working with databases and performing strong data analysis

• Converting unit data related to services into analyzable formats, such as converting hours into minutes for comparison

• Ensuring compliance with state and county funding per program by analyzing and validating data for accuracy and completeness

• Coordinating data processing to ensure timely input of enrollment, disenrollment, eligibility information, outcome data, billing, diagnosis reconciliation, etc.

• Reporting data variances and trends to program leadership for identifying programmatic needs and/or compliance

• Maintaining detailed records of Statement of Work compliance and tracking outcome measures

• Using accounting software systems and complex formulas for budget processes and expense reporting

• Performing documentation tasks, utilizing Excel VBA and data analysis tools.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Budget Analyst, preferably within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance sectors

• Proficiency in accounting software systems

• Firm understanding of accounting functions and budget processes

• Ability to create, manage and maintain documentation related to budgeting and expense reporting

• Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to use complex formulas and Excel VBA for budgeting and reporting tasks

• Familiarity with data analysis tools and the ability to effectively analyze budgeting data

• Demonstrable experience in managing budgets, reporting expenses, and using Excel for financial analysis

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effectively conveying budget and financial information to stakeholders

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment

• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently to meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
