Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in San Diego, California

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the Consultancy industry, based in San Diego, California. This role involves maintaining customer relationships, handling collections processes, and carrying out additional duties related to customer interactions and accounts.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients throughout the collection process.

• Responding promptly to incoming inquiries from clients via phone or email.

• Regularly reaching out to active and inactive clients to collect overdue fees or address discrepancies.

• Recommending and setting up payment plans for clients with significant overdue balances.

• Adhering to the established collections timeline and follow-up cadence for all accounts.

• Maintaining accurate records of all client interactions, payments, and agreements.

• Assessing problematic accounts and collaborating with internal teams to find effective resolutions.

• Providing support for month-end closing activities related to collections, such as updating account statuses and reporting progress.

• Proactively creating mock invoices for final payment for clients that are leaving.

• Performing other tasks as assigned by your supervisor or management. Requirements • Possess skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Collections, Commercial Collections, and Microsoft Excel

• Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, from recent graduates to those with several years in the field

• Familiarity with consultancy industry is advantageous

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at once

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy in all tasks

• Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships with clients.
