Description

Our client is a well-respected company seeking a competent and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee their accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial information, contributing to financial decision-making processes, and leading the accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, direct, and manage the accounting team.

• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of all financial reports.

• Implement and maintain all necessary internal controls.

• Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, regulations, and laws.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure spending is kept in line with the budget.

• Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.

• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.

  Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.

• A proven track record in an accounting leadership role.

• Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.

• Demonstrated proficiency in managing a comprehensive financial department.

• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.

• Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
