Responsibilities

Overview: The Quality Control Inspector is a key critical role responsible for overseeing the efficient daily quality and inspection operations of the warehouse facility. This position is responsible for ensuring that our agricultural products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong communication skills, technical expertise in agricultural practices, in-depth knowledge of quality assurance and quality control methodologies, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Inspect and Test Produce: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing produce to ensure it meets our quality and safety standards including correct grade, variant, and documenting any non-conformities.

• Maintain Documentation: Accurately document inspection results and report any quality issues. • Ensure Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure all produce complies with all food safety standards, USDA, and FDA requirements.

• Collaborate with Suppliers: Work closely with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues and conduct audits.

• Train and Support Staff: Assist in training field production and warehouse staff on quality control procedures and compliance with standards, such as food safety and Global GAP certification.

• Problem Solving: Identify and implement corrective actions for any quality concerns

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • manual lifting up to 50lbs

  • standing for 7 hours at one time
