Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Manufacturing industry, based in California. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with managing high-volume invoice processing and maintaining accurate records. You will also be required to understand and differentiate between various financial elements such as expenses, assets, and prepaids, and utilize your proficiency in Sage software.

Responsibilities:

• Manage high-volume invoice processing, handling up to 600 invoices weekly

• Understand and distinguish between various financial elements including expenses, assets, and prepaids

• Utilize Sage software to streamline and enhance accounting processes

• Complete FileMaker for inventory management when necessary

• Utilize accounting software systems such as Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data

• Perform accounting functions with accuracy and efficiency

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all payments are processed on time

• Oversee check processing, ensuring all checks are correctly issued and recorded

• Perform data entry tasks, inputting financial information into the company's database

• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in financial records or transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist in the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Sage is required

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is preferred

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of standard accounting functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Proven ability to manage check processing

• Proficient in data entry

• Track record of effectively managing discrepancy resolutions.
