Job Description

Job Summary:

Insight Global is seeking a Welder in San Antonio, TX. Welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms, such as tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, and building and bridge parts.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of

geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.

Knowledge of blueprint welding symbols.

Bolts, clamps and tack-welds parts to secure position for welding.

Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas

welding equipment.

May assemble parts by bolting and riveting.

May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts

using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.

Perform other duties as directed by supervisor, to possibly include warehouse, tool / supply room, site clean-up, fire and/or hole watch, or office/administrative activities.

Salary - $45K - 52K

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

 Minimum high school diploma or GED

 2+ years of experience as a Welder heavy metal 2 in- 4 in plates

 Steady employment will not interview anyone who is job hoppy

 Experience rating information using standards that can be measured or checked

 Ability work within precise limits or standards of accuracy of welding

 Ability to see detail in Drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings. null
