ABM Industries Weekend Greeter in San Antonio, Texas

Overview

Position Summary Details

This position will provide visitors with directions and any information they require, ensuring that they’re greeted with courtesy every time as they enter the facility or office building. It’s important that the individual in this role can stay calm under pressure or when dealing with a dissatisfied customer.

$13/hr

Saturday and Sunday 2pm-10pm

Responsibilities

  • Maintains their work area, which is often a business entrance, performing housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness and adhere to control and security policies. Helps guests feel comfortable and gives a positive first impression.

  • Anticipates and responds to guests in a friendly and positive manner

  • Communicates clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with guests and co-workers

  • Guests may sometimes be frustrated, confused, or angry, so it’s vital that greeters are able to remain calm, professional, and polite

  • Has knowledge of relevant products, policies and procedures

  • Works as a team player in meeting guest needs and actively contributing to the efforts of all other departments

  • Attends all required Department scheduled shifts, meetings and training sessions

  • Maintains a safe work area

  • Able to enact facility emergency procedures

  • Provides optimal levels of customer service wherever possible

  • Analyzes the customer’s requirements and help them find the best solution by directing them to the appropriate department.

Qualifications

  • One year of similar experience preferred.

  • Must meet all requirements to receive required badges and seals (if applicable), including successful completion of a background check and ten-year work history
