Navistar, Inc. Senior Quality Analyst in San Antonio, Texas

Position Overview

Navistar’s Quality team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Analyst reporting to the Quality Business Unit Leader. In this position, you will be supporting the San Antonio Assembly operations facility in validating and implementing improvements of the Manufacturing Execution System, looking for continuous improvement of the integration to our Navistar operating system. In this position you will have the opportunity to interact with multiple cross functional teams internally and externally within Navistar working with industry 4.0 technology.The Navistar San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is a benchmark facility that builds leading-edge commercial vehicles to meet the needs of today’s – and tomorrow’s – customers. By using proven engineering and leading technology and manufacturing principles, Navistar takes mobility and transport to a new level of impact. This facility has the flexibility to build Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles that allow Navistar to add capacity to support anticipated industry growth. Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, Navistar's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality.

Responsibilities

  • Implement ISO on the plant

  • Provide leadership team with a clear picture, information, and status summary reports

  • Responsible for providing detailed analysis of quality data (i.e., defects, units status)

  • Resolve data quality problems through appropriate process design strategies, as well as error detection and correction tests and procedures

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects /activities

  • Collaborates to prepare and review data required for the quality manager

  • Utilize existing reports to collect data for all reporting needs

  • Analyze and validate data in preparation of internal dashboards and external reporting warranty

  • Configure the MES Quality Data entry and reporting system

  • Train the organization in the use of the MES Quality Data System

  • Generate KPI tracking reports

  • Conduct Warranty tracking and investigation

  • Identify Corrective Action Report and follow up

  • Layered Process Audit knowledge

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 2 years of quality, lean or six sigma experience

OR

  • Master’s degree

OR

  • At least 4 years of quality, lean or six sigma experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Quality Data entry and reporting systems, to include maintaining system on a go-forward basis

  • Experience in training an organization in the use of the MES Quality Data System

  • Experience with developing and maintaining KPI tracking reports

  • Warranty tracking and investigation experience

  • Strong follow up skills regarding corrective actions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Basic knowledge of Power Bi

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Work overtime as needed

  • Available to work on the weekends

Highly desired:

  • ISO certification

  • Six sigma certified
