Guidehouse Regional Security Specialist in SAN ANTONIO, Texas

What You Will Do :

The Regional Security Specialist (RSS) will provide physical security and crisis management support to Guidehouse offices located within their area of responsibility (AOR). The RSS will report jointly to the Guidehouse Physical Security Manager and the Guidehouse Crisis Manager.

  • Essential role that requires daily on-site presence at their respective Guidehouse offices during business hours and occasionally after business hours.

  • Lead, manage, and implement Guidehouse security policies at Guidehouse offices within their AOR to ensure effective maintenance of security standards and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

  • Required to travel frequently, and at times on short notice, to Guidehouse offices in their AOR to provide security support.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Guidehouse staff supporting physical security, and crisis management programs at offices within their AOR.

  • Receive operational physical security requests for support, evaluate the requests for appropriate actions based on Guidehouse security policies, plans and direct actions to remediate physical security requests.

  • Oversee and perform access control tasks to include badge profile creation, programming, printing, revocation, troubleshooting and visitor management.

  • Review video footage and document findings to support internal investigations.

  • Work collaboratively with Guidehouse office leadership to resolve issues and improve overall security effectiveness.

  • Respond to alarm activity in accordance with internal policy, procedures and vendor agreements.

  • Complete internal audit of physical security systems on a regular basis.

  • Support the Physical Security team with external inspection preparation.

  • Maintain and provide weekly access control and alarm monitoring metrics to Physical Security Manager.

  • Conduct regular patrols of general access areas and controlled environments to identify risks and non-compliance.

  • Ensure applicable controls are in place to meet or exceed regulatory and client requirements.

  • Work with Physical Security team to assess requirements for new office projects and ensure project deadlines are met.

  • Execute and communicate security incident notification when authorized by management.

  • Support the Insider Threat Program in accordance with internal policy and procedures.

  • Support the Crisis Response Manager in accordance with internal policy and procedures.

  • Ad hoc presence on-site may be required to respond to a crisis event during non-business hours within AOR.

  • Submit vendor service tickets and meet with technicians for repairs, maintenance and inspections.

  • Assist with the maintenance of the business continuity plan.

  • Interact with staff within the organization and across lines of business to maintain, and update business impact analysis reports, and business recovery plans.

  • Conduct industry and regulatory research related to business continuity management relevant to industry standards.

What You Will Need :

  • Bachelor's Degree; FOUR (4) years relevant experience may be used in-lieu on degree

  • FOUR (4) or more years' relevant experience

  • Experience with risk analysis, business impact analysis, business continuity planning, and crisis management.

  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication (written and oral) skills.

  • Experienced security professional with working experience in companies of 10,000 or more employees

  • Ability to work independently and in a stressful environment.

  • Knowledge of commercial security products as well as access control systems, video monitoring systems, intrusion detection systems, and business continuity planning and response.

  • Knowledge of state and local government resources and protocols.

  • Knowledge of the U.S. Department of State Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC)

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Security or Law Enforcement

  • SEVEN (7) or more years' experience in a security role with an emphasis in physical security, crisis response and business continuity planning.

  • Military or Federal experience

  • Experience with the application of physical security equipment, trends, and use

  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and 22301.

  • In depth knowledge of various commercial security products including supply chain management.

  • Ability to articulate business continuity concepts and methodology to leadership and clients.

  • Direct experience coordinating with the state and local government and following protocols.

  • Direct experience working with OSAC member companies/organizations to exchange best practices
