The Role

The Manager, User Testing (UX) Research is responsible for planning, conducting, and analyzing usability testing sessions for world-class product design work at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. They will test experiences designed to increase bookings, expand Wyndham Rewards loyalty, increase guest engagement, and elevate Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ family of brands. The Manager, UX Research helps optimize the usability testing process, ensuring timelines, research goals, and synthesizing data is achieved with excellence, efficiency, and speed. They will collaborate closely with the entire digital team, including Product Management, Analytics, Digital Optimization, Loyalty, Digital Production, B2B Marketing, and external agencies.

The ideal candidate will be a strong team leader, have a passion for digital design, usability research, and thrive in collaborative environment while maintaining an eye for detail. Success comes from being an analytical and creative thinker who can grasp user needs, translate them into detailed test plans, highlight points areas of oportunity, and articulate solutions.

What you'll do

  • Writes test plans for usability testing.

  • With collaboration from Product, Analytics, Digital Creative, and Market Research teams, performs usability tests across web and app.

  • Synthesises data from tests and creates comprehensive summaries to present to Creative Leadership, Product, and the Digital Optimization team.

  • Offers strategic advise to senior leadership on optimizing user engagement across our website and app.

  • Designs mockups and prototypes to test site and app enhancements for testing.

  • Manages and mentors other user researchers and provides guidance for best practices.

  • Creates and maintains process for usability testing.

  • Maintains a close relationship with our usability testing parter.

  • Helps with designing AB tests.

  • Helps with product enhancement and implementation UAT when needed.

You'll be successful if you have

  • Experience with UserTesting.com or similar service.

  • Experience writing test plans and running usability tests.

  • Experience analyizing data drawing organized and conscise conclusions.

  • Fluent in Responsive and Adaptive design principles, information architecture, and user-centric design principles.

  • A high degree of familiariety with Adobe XD, Sketch or Figma a must.

  • Passion for digital experiences and care about users needs.

  • Experience managing and growing a team.

  • Customer-service oriented in all communications with agencies, franchisees, and cross-functional partners. Excellent follow-up skills are required.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, planning, and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Must be results-driven, proactive, innovative, solutions-oriented, and curious.

  • Able to work both independently and within a team environment.

  • Attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.

  • Able to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, unpredictable, and demanding environment with several competing priorities.

  • Effective at tracking and following through on their own responsibilities.

  • Demonstrates flexibility; willing to learn new skills, expand knowledge, and adapt to technological and business changes.

  • Prototyping and Animation a plus.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • 7–10 years of professional experience.
