Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

Actively supports the Maintenance staff, makes recommendations for improvement, and participates in weekly coordination meetings to ensure that weekly scheduled activities have the right priority. Ensures good housekeeping and safe work practices are followed, and performs all job functions with honesty and professionalism. Interacts with coworkers fairly and impartially, reads the production schedule to plan staff work, prioritizes work when required, and reviews the daily production schedule to plan maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance staff in daily operations.

• Recommend improvements to current processes.

• Participate in weekly coordination meetings to prioritize scheduled activities.

• Ensure good housekeeping and safe work practices.

• Perform all job functions with honesty and professionalism.

• Interact fairly and impartially with coworkers.

• Read the production schedule to plan staff work.

• Prioritize work as needed.

• Review daily production schedule to plan maintenance work.

Essential Skills

• Strong manufacturing background with specific knowledge of Bakery operations.

• Strong electrical background.

• PLC background required.

• Ability to read and understand schematics.

• Knowledge of operation, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment.

• Strong background in Lock Out Tag Out process.

• Welding and/or fabricating experience.

• Ability to document personnel records.

• Ability to follow project timelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of Supervisor experience in food manufacturing.

• 4+ years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience.

• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance work (electro/mechanical) as well as lead a team.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair 480v equipment.

• Willingness to join the team on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.

• Occasionally on call as needed.

Work Environment

This position is primarily based in a food manufacturing plant, working on ovens, conveyors, packaging, and labeling machines. The work environment includes working with PLCs, electrical/electronic systems, and overall maintenance troubleshooting. The role is located in building 1050 and requires working the 2nd shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of San Antonio, Texas.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
