Job Summary:

The human resource coordinator provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource processes. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry, development and implementation of internal HR processes. This includes acting as a first level of support for employee inquiries.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the HR Leadership team; schedules meetings, processes expense reports, prepares communications and presentations.

  • Handles first tier HR support by answering calls and emails from employees.

  • Supports the HR Budget process, ensures tracking and timely payment of HR invoices.

  • Assists with core HR initiatives and processes including, but not limited to the performance management, employee training, compensation, benefits & payroll administration, affirmative action plans

  • Assists with recruitment and interview process; schedules interviews, prepares offer letters, assists with closing our requisitions and maintaining the ATS. .

  • Maintains HR Records; uploads documents into appropriate employee files.

  • Prepares correspondence and communications, processes incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Assists local office manager with HR-related activities and tasks.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.

  • HR certification preferred.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist or specialist experience.

  • Experience with HRIS (Workday preferred), reporting and HR Analytics.


  • Experience working with all levels within an organization, comfortable interacting with senior leaders.

  • Ensures quality customer service and exercises discretion and professionalism when handling highly confidential and sensitive information.

  • Strong organizational / time management skills, detailed oriented.

  • Collaborative and professional style with the objective of building strong relationships with diverse groups.

  • Self-starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrated flexibility.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including delivering effective presentations.

  • Deals with problems quickly, multi-tasks and prioritizes work efficiently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS.

Physical Demands

  • Employee must have the ability to sit and/or stand at a desk for a minimum of 8 hours a day and complete tasks requiring repetitive use of hands.

  • Employee must have the ability to see written documents, computer screens and to adjust focus.

  • This job is performed in a temperature controlled office environment.

Other Requirements

  • Some overnight travel (up to 10%) for meetings and training.
