JOB DOES NOT START UNTIL, December 05, 2022. APPLICANT SHOULD RECEIVE A COPY OF THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND JOB REFERRAL BEFORE CALLING EMPLOYER CONTACT. All workers should be physically able to meet and perform the work outlined in the contract for the entire period of time from 12/05/2022 to 09/03/2023. Workers will seed, transplant, cultivate, cut, house and strip tobacco. May also prepare barns and land, do maintenance of tools and equipment related to job. Worker should be able to bend, stoop and stand on their feet for long periods of time. The confirmed adverse effect wage rate for the area of employment is \$13.89 per hour for 2022. Wages are paid weekly. The employer guarantees to offer a least 3/4 of the hours listed in the contract. Worker\'s compensation insurance will be provided. The employer must provide free housing and three meals a day or furnish free convenient cooking kitchen facilities to all workers who are not reasonably able to return to their residence the same day. If the employer elects to provide meals, a maximum of \$13.17 per day may be charged to the employee. The employer will provide the necessary tools, supplies and equipment at no cost to the worker. General Conditions Applicable to all Crops: Harvesting specifications can change from time to time during the season due to crop or market conditions, even on the same crop. Workers will be expected to conform to the specific instructions given for each days work. Work begins at an assigned time shortly after daylight. Work is performed during light rain and in high humidity and in temperatures ranging from 100 degrees to 35 degrees F. Workers will work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Workers will lift for prolonged periods of time and must be physically fit and able to perform the duties as described. All the tasks in the Job Description constitute one (1) job; the employer may assign workers to different tasks on any day or to multiple tasks during the same day in the sole judgment of the employer. Workers may be required to preform work, on the farm, that is incidental to farming the crops listed in the application, such as performing hand cultivation tasks, weeding or hoeing, cleaning and repairing farm buildings, weed beds, racks, grounds, operate tractor/farm equipment incidental to crop, clean fence rows and weed eating around barns and other out buildings, and fence rows, painting barns and fences, weeding, etc... This is a very demanding and competitive business in which quality specifications must be rigorously adhered to. Sloppy work cannot and will not be tolerated. The employer will train the workers for a period of two day after which the worker will be expected to work without constant supervision.Employee will perform duties including (but not limited to) general farm maintenance, servicing and maintaining harvest and all other farm equipment, preparing grain bins for usage, hauling grain throughout the entire course of employment from field to farm and farm to market. Employee will be expected to have to ability to drive and operate farm machinery to harvest and store various grain and feed crops. Repair equipment, and various structures, maintain and service all farm equipment and any equipment used in the farming process. Employee will assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and other farm equipment. Employee may be asked to operate various pieces of equipment such as (but not limited to) combine, grain cart, semi-trucks, 2 and 4 WD tractors. Employee will work with hand, electric, and other means of operation of hand tools, both in the fields and in the operations shop. Employee will perform harvest and post harvest duties including (but not limited to) driving semi-trucks to transport product from field to farm and farm to market. Employee must be able to operate all sizes of tractors, combines and all types of farm equipment. Equipment, We utilize a grain cart during harvest as well as 18 heeler semis to transport grain to and from field during seeding and harvest. These same semis are used to transport grains from the farm to various elevators that I market grain to. Other equipment used but not limited to includes grain augers, service trucks, fuel transport trucks and general usage pickups and farm vehicles. Crops: Grains, Beans Other miscellaneous duties assigned. Workers may be required to work long hours in the sun or cold conditions in the work process. Workers must be physically able to bend and stoop for long periods of time. Able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Physically able to meet and perform all job specifications.
