Job Summary

We are looking for vaccinators interested in working with a diverse research team. Vaccinators work as part of a team which includes physicians, PhDs, and graduate students. The Vaccinator position is primarily responsible for administering study vaccines to participants at study clinic locations along the Wasatch Front.

This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. We protect our patients, coworkers and community by requiring all patient-sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy.

This position is considered Category I: Mandatory and required on campus or health care facilities to support on-site operations. Employees hired into this category will be required to be physically located at the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health ( RMCOEH ).

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Administration of study vaccines.

  • Verification of study participant identification.

  • Collection of pertinent information from study participants.

  • Participation in and completes mandatory training sessions including but not limited to infection control, safety protocols, equipment operations, study protocol and procedures.

  • Entering and retrieve computer data.

  • Problem solving.

  • Managing and prioritize multiple assignments and tasks.

  • Filing of appropriate records and documents, both physical and digital.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A current RN, EMT , or MA license/certification and the ability to practice in the state of Utah.

  • A current Basic Life Support Health Care Provider certification.

  • Basic computer skills.

Preferences

Six months research experience or equivalency; demonstrated organizational and communication skills; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service preferred. An understanding of research protocols and procedures preferred.
