Title: Success in Education Non- Pro-fit Marketing Manager

We are a statewide nonprofit foundation based in downtown Salt Lake City that offers its employees creativity, autonomy, and the opportunities to change lives.

Mission:

The mission of Success in Education is to provide a pathway to college or careers. We do this through literacy, technology and mentoring programs, and exposure to scholarships, internships, and careers

Programs and Purposes:

  • The purpose of Keys to Success is to motivate students to unlock their future by connecting them to scholarships, internships, and careers.

  • The purpose of Road to Success is to improve literacy skills of K-5 grade students through incentivized daily reading.

  • The purpose of Women Who Succeed is to provide opportunities for girls and young women to grow confidence and leadership skills.

  • The purpose of Ken Garff Esports is to enhance and enrich scholastic experiences through and beyond gaming.

Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the marketing outreach for the Success in Education Foundation and it’s four statewide programs; Keys to Success, Road to Success, Women Who Succeed, and Ken Garff Esports. This position reports to the Foundation Vice President. This position works closely with the Program Directors to plan and execute marketing efforts for the foundation and outreach specifically to our three local High School; West High, East High and Highland High School.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages marketing outreach for Success in Education four statewide programs for a variety of Utah audiences including sponsors, educators, parents, and students.

  • Manage and oversee weekly Marketing Meeting with the Foundation Vice President and program Directors.

  • Directs branding efforts for consistency throughout all marketing materials, including partnership & sponsorship relations.

  • Guarantees all sponsors are rightfully displayed according to their sponsorship agreements.

  • Ensures all press materials, website content, email newsletter, and other related media follow brand guidelines and marketing best practices.

  • Work closely with Spin Off (Ken Garff in-house marketing department) to coordinate video and design projects.

  • Oversees contracted content projects with outside videographers, photographers, designers, etc.

  • Coordinates all printing projects including brochures, newsletters, posters, workbooks, etc.

  • Manages and reports the foundation's monthly newsletter

  • Provide weekly reports to leadership as to progress and challenges

  • Attend tabling events to promote the Success in Education programs

  • Communicate with the Associate Director on any website glitches.

  • Attends and assists with major fundraising events and program events.

  • Communicate regularly and integrate initiatives as appropriate with other team members.

  • Develop visually compelling graphics for various projects, including digital and print materials such as logos, brochures, posters, banners, and advertisements, that effectively communicate the desired message and align with brand guidelines

  • Ensure equity and access are of high priority for student enrollment by targeting low-income schools, rural schools, and minority students

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2 – 3 years' experience with non-profit marketing is preferred

  • Graphic design, website experience are a plus

  • Photography skill is a plus

  • Confident in front of large crowds as well as one-on-one interactions

  • Ability to collect, process, and present measured results

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Organized, self-starter, team player and communicates well

  • Has integrity and values transparency in the workplace

Other Work Conditions:

  • This position requires occasional travel; primarily local and during business hours although some occasional out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

  • This is a full-time, exempt position. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm in office
