Amazon Sr. Process & Systems Engineer, AMXL ACES in Salt Lake City, Utah

Description

The Amazon Extra Large (AMXL), Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) team is looking for an experienced centralized leader with a strong record of achieving results to own and drive stakeholder development and performance across the AMXL network. This role is high visibility, both tactical and strategic in nature and drives a large part of the Customer Experience foundation core to the AMXL program.

This opportunity provides the chance to drive performance and standardization of processes within AMXL. As AMXL continue to grow, it will be critical to continue cultivating our internal talent and projects to better suit our business needs. The Sr. PSE is the primary owner for operational KPIs in a select focus area, later to be determined and will lead various continuous improvement initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with Safety, Finance, Supply Chain, PPT, ACES, IXD/XLFC/XLDS, EU Operations, and business stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with XLSC program stakeholders to drive network standardization.

  • Develop solutions for gaps in the standard work process by owning the integration and development of standard work.

  • Seek to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind executive level decisions.

  • Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources.

  • Work with Field Operations to improve knowledge and improve safety, quality, productivity, and identify growing trends.

  • Oversee gaps between teams, processes, and systems, helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g. requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impact(s) from third-party solutions, security not considered, insufficient stakeholder review, etc.).

  • Solve vague, complex problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks).

  • Work with program managers, business leadership teams, and the executive team to communicate and impact critical business initiatives.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Up to 75% travel required, 100% during Peak season.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • 5+ years of experience driving process improvements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
