University of Utah Sr Accountant in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

The University of Utah seeks an experienced accountant to join its Campus Budget Office. The Campus Budget Office works closely with external stakeholders, senior University administrators, peers in the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE), and internal budget and finance officers across campus and UHealth. The Accountant position will help the office fulfill its reporting requirements on state appropriations and other financial data, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, experience in financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, financial planning, and analysis in the context of state-funded institutions, and the ability to inform and support strategic financial decisions in a complex and dynamic environment.This is a hybrid position, with at least three days in the office during traditional office hours (8 am5 pm) and two days remote.
