Community and School Outreach is an initiative of the Community Relations Office. Our goal is to make post-secondary education, and Salt Lake Community College specifically, an accessible and attainable goal for the communities we serve. We do this, in part, by increasing SLCC visibility in our communities; understanding the strengths and needs of our communities; promoting the importance of postsecondary education; and providing information about how to access SLCC programs and resources.

As an outreach specialist, you are a passionate, high energy, and outgoing individual who is excited to connect with people of all ages, backgrounds, and socioeconomic status around post-secondary education issues. You will support our work in k10 schools with students, administration, and community members and our participation in community events, fairs, and festivals.

This position will primarily involve tabling at community locations and celebrations off-campus. This position is a temporary summer position.

- - Travel to schools and various community locations (fairs and festivals) for event set-up, staffing, presentations, and/or break-down at locations across Salt Lake County - Help coordinate volunteers at community events - Serve as a positive role model to younger students
