The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Pay Range: $93,600.00 - $168,500.00

About the Role: The Senior Manager, Marketing - Schools and Programs is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies that support enrollment growth and other priorities for one of WGU's academic schools (e.g., Business, Health, Technology, Education). The Sr. Manager partners with senior Marketing and Outreach leadership and interfaces with senior executives and other leaders of their assigned school to set performance targets and budgets, develop supporting strategies, execute on school-specific initiatives, and forecast and report on results. The Sr. Manager will lead a team of marketing professionals for one of WGU's academic schools to deliver on the goals.

The Sr. Manager is the Marketing team's expert in all internal and external factors that affect school performance including the evolving portfolio of academic course and program offerings, industry associations and employer partnerships, target audiences, market demand trends, regional and national competitor behavior, etc. Curiosity and honed research and data analysis skills are critical to this role, which is responsible for marketing performance of the school's portfolio, including identifying opportunities and threats at the school and program levels, and developing strategies and tactics to address them.

The Sr. Manager will exert cross-organizational influence and marshal the full breadth of Marketing team resources in support of school priorities; this requires an ability to persuade others to action and a fluency in various marketing disciplines, including traditional and digital media, SEO, content marketing, conference and event marketing, and more. The Sr. Manager will also act as a critical bridge between their assigned school and the Marketing team. In this role, the Sr. Manager will spend relatively equal time interfacing with school leaders and members of the Marketing team and must build trust and wield strong influence within and between both organizations.
