Job Summary

The Wilcox Lab/ ADD Lab in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology is in search of a Research Associate to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have experience and training in a wide variety of disciplines including the use of natural products from Cameroon for the treatment of seizures. The Research Associate will support the PI and will have the opportunity to help with experiments designed to evaluate the efficacy of natural products in protection against seizures. The candidate will perform literature reviews and gather, organize and summarize information for the research team. They will also be involved in reporting progress in departmental meetings, mentoring junior scientists, and assisting with the preparation of publication and funding applications.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements:

  • PhD/MD, or equivalent degree

  • Collect, analyze, summarize data

  • Perform literature searches

  • Preparing reports and manuscripts

  • Grant proposal writing

  • Immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, molecular biology, and sequencing are strongly desired
