Job Summary

The Executive MBA ( EMBA ) program at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic professional to join our team as an Admissions Coordinator. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing exceptional recruiting and admissions support in a professional, customer-focused, and results-driven environment. We are passionate about fostering meaningful connections, hosting impactful events, and providing top-tier customer service, and we are looking for someone who shares that same passion to support our Executive MBA students.

As an Admissions Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with recruiting, admissions, and marketing staff to drive enrollment growth for our prestigious Executive MBA program. You will develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies and build meaningful relationships with individuals and corporations. This position involves extensive phone, email, and in-person interactions with prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, and other University staff.

This role requires a high degree of autonomy and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to build strong customer relationships, manage time effectively, and maintain accuracy will be crucial to your success.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in significant interpersonal communication and relationship building with prospective students through phone, in-person, and email interactions.

  • Discuss program details with prospective students via outbound and inbound phone calls, addressing their specific concerns and needs.

  • Manage the sales funnel using the CRM system (Salesforce), logging all interactions, in-person meetings, phone calls, and emails, while maintaining accurate candidate details.

  • Consistently follow up and stay connected with individuals interested in pursuing their MBA .

  • Accurately represent the EMBA program and the university in all interactions, making decisions (in partnership with the Manager) to run the program effectively and conscientiously.

  • Assist with planning and executing recruiting events, including selecting venues, arranging catering, assembling marketing materials, and interacting with prospective students.

  • Process student applications, including communication, scheduling interviews, and managing incoming supporting documents.

  • Collaborate with the student services team to support student enrollment, class days, and events.

  • Assist in other departmental areas as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years’ related experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).

Preferences

  • Experience in executing recruitment programs at a university, college, or company.

  • Knowledge of general business management curriculum, including familiarity with courses and programs at other institutions.

  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

  • Results-oriented and achievement-driven mindset.

  • Ability to work independently, especially in arranging and conducting onsite information meetings and influencer visits.

  • Capable of handling multiple tasks in an organized manner, prioritizing to ensure a balanced and efficient workload, and producing high-quality work with speed and accuracy.

  • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills, with the ability to relate well to working professionals and executives.

  • Collaborative approach and openness to new concepts and ideas.

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

  • Preference given to those able to work some weekends, as required.
