FIRST STEP HOUSE Quality Improvement Manager in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

We are hiring for a full-time Quality Improvement Manager located in Salt Lake City, Utah!!

The Quality Improvement Manager ensures that the organization remains in compliance with all contract and grant requirements and works to improve and implement any policy or procedure changes needed to do so. The QI Manager is responsible for ensuring that First Step House provides the highest quality possible care to every client served and as well as excellent customer service to our many stakeholders. The overall goals of this position are to (a) provide high-quality care for clients, (b) provide a high level of customer service for funders, clients, and other stakeholders, and (c) provide support for the clinical and administrative teams.

  • Salary: $85,000 - 90,000 annually
  • Hours: Flexible (4 day) 36-hour work week

Education and Experience:

  • A Master's degree and an active license in the State of Utah as a clinical mental health counselor, social worker or marriage and family therapist is required.
  • A Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or a similar field is preferred.
  • Experience in both substance abuse and mental health treatment field is preferred.

Job duties assigned, but not limited to:

  • Represents First Step House at trainings, workshops and provider meetings in the community, reports back and conducts training for staff members as needed.
  • Works with external oversight bodies to plan, schedule, and complete all external audits.
  • Works with teams across the organization to ensure that necessary data is collected and organizational outcomes are met annually.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of new programs as needed.
  • Utilizes other software programs as needed (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • Collaborates and consults with supervisors, treatment-team members, community partners, and other relevant parties concerning program implementation, planning and audit issues.
  • Develops and manages the organization's clinical quality improvement program.
  • Reviews all contracts, creates and/or updates contract implementation guides to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Manages and updates internal auditing procedures including an audit report.
  • Supervises Quality Assurance Specialists.
