This is a working level job requiring licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Utah. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist,incumbents carry out specific pharmacy tasks including preparing,maintaining,and organizing unit dose cubies for our automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis) and canisters for our pharmacy filling machine/robot (DOSIS); entering/typing prescriptions in our pharmacy software; filling prescriptions manually; receiving and verifying delivery of daily orders from wholesalers; maintaining pharmacy medication inventory both virtually and physically; preparing and mailing prescriptions to patients at alternative locations,cleaning equipment and work areas; coordinating with nursing in problem solving issues concerning patient prescriptions; training new pharmacy staff.
