Pediatric Cardiac SurgeonThe Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Department of Surgery at the University of Utah is actively recruiting a Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon at the Assistant/Associate level. Track is dependent upon qualifications. Candidate qualifications include Board Certification in Thoracic surgery after successfully completing an ACGME-approved Thoracic Surgery Residency as well as Subspecialty Certification in Congenital Cardiac Surgery.Our Section of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery consists of 3 surgeons, all with several years of clinical and academic experience, who collectively focus upon a collaborative team approach to both the operative and non-operative development of each member. Our culture of support for each other as well as for the entire surgical team is at the forefront of a focus upon excellent clinical outcomes and a work environment structured to retain quality team members.The successful candidate will be expected to perform the entire spectrum of pediatric cardiac surgery including neonates, adult congenital, mechanical circulatory support as well as heart transplantation. A demonstrable clinical record and desire to pursue clinical investigation and/or translational research is required. The position requires functioning as an Attending Surgeon at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics and the Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City.
