University of Utah Leave Administrator I in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Leave Administrator I: Employees and managers first point of contact answering routine questions on the organization's leave programs, including FMLA leave, paid parental leave, medical leave, military leave, and non-health related leaves. Intakes leave requests and insurance claims (Workers Compensation, Disability, and Life) and determines employee eligibility. Coordinates with employees and departments to obtain information to process leaves and claims. Refers employees to ADA Specialist when necessary. Enters leave-related data into the HRIS, payroll and/or leave system as needed. Ensures compliance with internal and external policies and regulations. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter. Requires general knowledge of leave laws (FMLA, USERRA, WC, etc.), basic skill set, and proficiency. Conducts work assignments as directed. Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgementThis position is hybrid, so the incumbent will be required to work at least one day per week onsite, but will also be able to telecommute.
