The Construction and Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell's delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction and Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction and Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction and Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. Haskell assists with working your way up through the ranks, you'll find new ways to use both your mind and your hands to get the job done.
As a Construction Laborer at Haskell, you will play a key role in assisting skilled craft workers with various tasks at construction sites. Your work will involve manual labor under close supervision to support the timely and successful completion of projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Perform tasks such as digging, spreading, and leveling dirt and gravel using hand tools like picks and shovels.
Lift, carry, and handle building materials, tools, and supplies as required.
Ensure a clean and organized job site by cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas.
Mix, pour, and spread materials including concrete, asphalt, and gravel using hand tools.
Assist in joining, wrapping, and sealing sections of pipe as needed for construction tasks.
Perform various non-machine tasks, including removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints, and assembling pipeline or laying railroad track.
Be adaptable to perform different tasks or switch between jobs as the project evolves.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
High school diploma preferred.
Ability to follow specific instructions and complete assigned tasks.
Capable of switching between duties frequently, as tasks may change regularly.
Able to perform tasks with precision, meeting set standards of accuracy.
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks based on short-duration procedures.
