The University of Utah School of Medicine Department of Population Health Sciences ( PHS ) and Huntsman Cancer Institute ( HCI ) invite applications for an open rank, tenure-track faculty position in cancer control and population sciences. We seek outstanding, collaborative scientists in a number of areas including, but not limited to: cancer prevention (including behavioral interventions), cancer epidemiology (including expertise in geographic and neighborhood contextual factors, molecular, clinical, genetic, or environmental epidemiology), cancer survivorship and health outcomes, exercise and cancer, digital health, healthcare transformation, risk communication, implementation science, rural health, and health disparities. We are particularly interested in recruiting scientists with training and expertise in environmental epidemiology. We are looking for collaborative and engaged colleagues who are interested in advancing their career through interdisciplinary team science, working collaboratively with clinicians and experts across a spectrum of fields.
The University of Utah offers highly competitive salary and start-up packages and exceptional benefits. Applicants for Assistant Professor are expected to hold a PhD or MD/PhD (or equivalent), have received appropriate postdoctoral training and to have a track record of impact and research productivity. Applicants for senior positions should additionally have a proven record of independent funding and innovative research. TheDepartment of Population Health Sciencesis a hub for education, investigation and methodological expertise in population health.
