Join Takeda as a Director of Strategic Partnerships where you will be responsible for owning and leading the development, negotiation, and execution of key strategic partnerships with both traditional (payer, employers, specialty pharmacy) stakeholders as well as non-traditional (retail health and technology companies) stakeholders. You will also establish, negotiate, and execute next generation innovative strategic partnerships for Takeda supporting the USBU and global functions. Aligned to Takeda’s key enterprise priorities this role is responsible for all promoted products, pipeline assets and corresponding therapeutic areas. You will be responsible for the value story development, contracting strategy and negotiation of the strategic partnership. You will lead, motivate and coach key internal stakeholders through the development, funding, execution and pull through of key strategic partnerships for Takeda.

How you will contribute:

  • Responsible for owning and leading the development, negotiation, and execution of key strategic partnerships with both traditional (payer, employers, specialty pharmacy) stakeholders as well as non-traditional (retail health and technology companies) stakeholders.

  • Establishes, negotiates, and executes next generation innovative strategic partnerships for Takeda supporting the USBU and global functions. Aligned to Takeda’s key enterprise priorities this role is responsible for all promoted products, pipeline assets and corresponding therapeutic areas.

  • Responsible for the value story development, contracting strategy and negotiation of the strategic partnership.

  • Lead, motivate and coach key internal stakeholders through the development, funding, execution and pull through of key strategic partnerships for Takeda.

  • Owns the development, execution and communication plan of all Takeda briefing documents related to each strategic partnership, including but not limited to executive briefings.

  • Lead, motivate and coach key internal stakeholders including but not to, Medical, New Product Planning, HEOR, R&D, Public Policy, DD&T, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Sales, Legal, Compliance and Regulatory through the development, funding, execution and pull through of key strategic partnerships for Takeda.

  • Intimately understand Takeda and partner enterprise strategy, processing and summarizing all critical information rapidly and succinctly and apply it to the development of strategic partnership value story that supports Takeda and partner key business priorities.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required

  • 10 + years of proven success in cultivating and building Senior Executive external facing relationships in the healthcare ecosystem required.

  • Experienced in negotiating innovative collaborative agreements with internal and external stakeholders required.

  • Payer experience highly preferred

  • Experienced in working on and with cross-functional teams required.

  • Proven success in managing multiple broad corporate projects at once required.

  • Financial acumen including resource allocation, budget management, and strategic sourcing preferred.

  • Experience with biologics and specialty products preferred.

  • Launch experience preferred.

  • Travel Requirement - 30%

For Location:

Massachusetts - Virtual

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$169,400.00 - $266,200.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
