The Department of Corrections-Utah Correctional Industries (UCI), is currently looking for a Correctional Industry Program Specialist experienced in Warehousing to join our team.   • Serve as specialists in a specific service,trade,manufacturing and/or marketing/sales  with our warehousing team within Utah Correctional Industries.
  • Knowledge and experience in general warehousing/delivery and installation,and general construction.
  • Function as a first line supervisor/foreman.
  • Ensuring projects and program goals are completed.
  • Employees supervise inmates and may supervise staff.
  • Provide training and work experience to inmates within the pre release program .
  • Ensure safety and security regulations/guidelines are followed,to include OSHA and EPA.

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:

  • Duties include instruction and training to staff and offenders who are in the pre release program.
  • Develops,directs,and/or evaluates pre release programs.
  • Schedules and assigns work to meet completion dates.
  • Ensures compliance within the pre release program.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees/inmates within the pre release program.
  • Inspect materials,products,or equipment.
  • Maintain operations data,such as time,production,and cost records,and prepare management reports of production results.
  • Observe work and monitor gages,dials,and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
