State of Utah - Jobs Contracts/Grant Analyst in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Job Description Are you detail oriented with excellent organizational skills? Do you see yourself providing technical assistance on grants and contracts? Can you review federal,state,department and/or division contract requirements and ensure compliance with those requirements? Are you a team player with great communication skills? The Utah State Library Division seeks a Contracts/Grant Analyst to be part of our team. PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Supports the various grant programs by preparing,reviewing and tracking contracts.
  • Supports the Grants Coordinator by preparing,reviewing and tracking grant contracts.
  • Supports library administration by preparing,reviewing and tracking contracts.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws,regulations,and/or agency rules,standards and guidelines,etc.
  • Provides technical support and contract interpretation to USL staff and contracted parties.
  • Coordinates with the State of Utah AAG as needed.
  • Maintains open communication and problem solves with all stakeholders: administration,grantees and library staff.
  • Responsible for sending out all the contracts through the electronic signing system. Manages the contract process by ensuring contracts are sent,signed by all parties,and filed within appropriate deadlines.
  • Maintains an organized filing system.
  • Provides contract related reports and information as needed to contracting agencies.
  • Reviews fiscal operations to ensure integrity,accuracy and control of data.
  • May collaborate to work on other statewide initiatives of the Library team.
  • Assist Grants Coordinator with administrative responsibilities and projects.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using MS Office Suite,including Excel,Word,and other applications.
  • Familiarity with SalesForce,Adobe Sign and Conga Sign.
  • Project management experience.
  • Able to follow State of Utah,Department and Division rules and policies.
  • Read,write,and speak English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strongly committed to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of personality types.
  • Strong ability to utilize informed judgment,exercise discretion and maintain professionalism.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preference may be given to an applicant with a Bachelor s Degree in business,finance,public administration,or a related field,OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and paid professional employment directly related to the above tasks.
  • Previous experience working with contracts and grants administration.
  • Excellent mathematical reasoning and knowledge of financial resources,including State of Utah systems.
  • Excellent evaluation,judgment,and decision-making skills.
  • Preference may be given to current employees of the Department of Cultural and Community Engagement.
