Assistant/Associate Professor Tenure Track Position

TheDepartment of Parks, Recreation, and Tourismin theCollege of Healthat theUniversity of Utahis pleased to announce a nine-month assistant/associate professor tenure track appointment to begin fall semester 2025. The Department is looking for a research-active faculty member who will complement our current faculty and build from the inherent strengths of the College of Health, University, and the State of Utah.

The successful candidate will have a strong research agenda that either aligns with current research efforts in the Department and College or holds sufficient critical mass to sustain an independent research lab, which supports graduate students and research activities. Further, the successful candidate will teach core courses in our graduate and undergraduate programs, seek external funding to support their agenda, and recruit and supervise graduate students.

The College of Healthis among the largest of the colleges and schools at the University with 2,500 undergraduates and 600 graduate students.Degree optionsinclude 18 BA/BS degree emphases, 16 master’s degree programs, three clinical doctorates, and five PhD programs.
