The University of Utah is recruiting an academic neurologist with fellowship training in Movement Disorders.Our program serves a multistate area in the Intermountain West and is the major site in this area for referral of complex patients with movement disorders. The individual recruited would have opportunities to develop a clinical program and an active translational research. Opportunities for telemedicine and outreach clinics also exist.The Movement Disorders clinic includes an active neuromodulation program and exposure to all current DBS devices as well as focused ultrasound. Botulinum toxin injections occur daily, and the clinic houses a Parkinsons Foundation Center of Excellence, a CurePSP Center of Care, a Huntingtons Disease Society of America (HDSA) Center of Excellence and a National Ataxia Foundation Center of Excellence. Subspecialty clinic areas include neurogenetics, autoimmune movement disorders, autonomic dysfunction clinic and laboratory, and cognitive disorders.
