Administrative Assistant * Join an encouraging leadership group, committed to your growth and development * Fostering a collaborative team environment built on strong work ethics. * Residentially based in Salt Lake City, UT * (Role Band-M) About the role We are looking for anAdministrative Assistantto support the Kennecott Underground Team at Rio Tinto. You will support general business operations through administrative and logistical support activities by following discipline focused policies and processes which allow the business to maximize efficiency. This is a great opportunity for an engaged professional to support general office management and coordination including ordering office supplies, processing mail, work orders, filing and document control. Reporting to the GM Underground, and working in a collaborative community, exciting environment, you will be: * Provides administrative support directly to executives, exercising confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. * Uses business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.; may prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries. * Maintains files, records, calendars and diaries; typically arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements, and tracks expenses. * May participate in the implementation of administrative standards, policies and practices for the organization. * Manages dashboards, monthly reports and support any functional or special projects. * Manages end to end service requests for stakeholders (e.g. RTTMS tickets, etc.). * Engage in other activities/ projects to support the team. * Ordering supplies, processing mail, work orders, filing, and document control. * Collaborating with stakeholders and service providers to resolve issues * Completing work order preparation, uniform supply for the team and office location. What you'll bring * A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team * High School Diploma or GED Equivalent * Valid state Driver's License * Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills * Strong computer skills, knowledge of MS Office, Excel, MS Projectand SAP * Must be a team player with strong communication skills * Must be able to work effectively and professionally with people at all levels within the company * Ability to handle multiple assignments with appropriate prioritization * Planning and organizing - time management What we offer We are committed to providing our employees with a generous benefits package.
