The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Utah seeks an Academic Hepatologist to be part of an established and growing Transplant Hepatology Program. Our team is comprised of 4 transplant hepatologists, 5 abdominal transplant surgeons, 5 transplant coordinators, 5 advanced practice providers, and 3 transplant pharmacists.

This faculty position is focused on hepatology and liver transplant, with outpatient endoscopy if desired. Main responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient clinical care, including inpatient service on a rotating basis with the other hepatologists. Academic responsibilities may include working directly with the gastroenterology fellows and medical house staff, participating in weekly educational conferences, and engaging in clinical or basic science research.

As a leader in the region, our transplant program has performed over 400 liver transplants – with over 60 in this last year. The University of Utah Health seeks to strengthen and transform our program into a Center of Excellence. We specifically focus on growing ourLiving Liver Donation Programand establishing our unique, multidisciplinary transplant oncology program.

Minimum Qualifications: Board certified in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology. Eligible for Utah Medical License.
