Dean's Associate, Student Services

Primary Function

Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a full-time dean's associate to provide office support for the dean of enrollment management, the dean of student success and the student services division, and to assist with enrollment management efforts, retention and student success initiatives, and student conduct and Title IX communications. This position may be required to periodically work evenings and weekends, including the annual commencement.

Essential Duties

The following list is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.

  • Provides office and activities support for the dean of enrollment management and the dean of student success, including preparing correspondence and reports, photocopying and filing paper and electronic correspondence and reports, generating mailings, reconciling the budget, scheduling appointments and meetings, taking meeting minutes, and assisting students
  • Prepares conduct, Title IX and administrative grievance correspondence, maintains records and prepares information for conduct and Title IX hearings and administrative grievance review
  • Provides office support for the student services division, including, but not limited to, typing, photocopying, scheduling appointments, scanning and filing documents, entering data, handling incoming telephone calls, making outbound calls, working on projects across multiple departments and providing coverage for the student services reception desk
  • Assists with enrollment management and student success activities across the division, and takes responsibility for special initiatives as directed
  • Works with division administrative associates to ensure that students have a high-quality student experience in their interaction with student services staff, and assigns work to associates as necessary to support division goals
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate degree in a relevant field
  • Four years of office experience (Bachelor's degree can be substituted for the four years of experience)
  • Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Excellent database, mathematical, organizational, human relations, teamwork and verbal and written communication skills
  • Preference will be given to candidates with bilingual English/Creole skills
Supplemental Information

This is a full-time standard support staff position. The days and hours of work are Mon. - Fri., 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (1 hour lunch). This position may be required to periodically work evenings and weekends, including the annual commencement.
